Abstract (en)

[origin: DE4414641C1] The invention relates to a three-pass boiler, comprising a water-conducting housing (1) having a combustion chamber (2), a deflection chamber (3), a second pass (4) leading off from the latter, an overflow chamber (5) and, leading off from the latter, a third pass (7) which leads to the waste gas connection (6) and is in the form of a plurality of smaller-diameter individual pipes (7'). The second pass (4) is constructed, according to the invention, in the form of an individual pipe (4') having a diameter (D2) which is smaller in relation to the diameter (D) of the combustion chamber (2) and substantially larger in relation to the diameter (D1) of the individual pipes (7') of the third pass (7). The individual pipe (4') is connected by an elbow (kneepiece) (8), forming the deflection chamber (3), at the end region (2') of the combustion chamber (2) to the peripheral wall (2'') of the latter, which peripheral wall is provided with a corresponding opening (8'), and opens by its other end (4'') into the overflow chamber (5), which is covered on the front side of the boiler with an insulated closure cover (9) and the other boundary walls (10) of which are arranged in the water-conducting inner space (11) of the housing (1). As a result, the weight and welding work are reduced and the overflow chamber (5) has a comparatively large cooled area. <IMAGE>
