Abstract (en)
The installation uses elastic balls of a sponge material, forced through the tubes by a flow of water to clean their inner surfaces. A number (n) of parallel sections each have a branch pipe (6) and a recuperator (7) for the balls, mounted at the outlet end (4) of each section. Each section also has a drive pump (8), a holder (9) for the balls, and an injector (10) which feeds the balls into the sections. A single injector (11) for new balls feeds each branch pipe in turn via pipes (12,15) and valves (13,16). The new ball injector is connected through a pipe (17) with a valve (18) to a source of water under pressure, or to a pump linked to the tube assembly feed pipe. The injector is in the shape of a body of revolution, with the pipe connected to it tangentially and equipped with a system for impregnating the new balls with water so that their density is increased. <IMAGE>

Il s'agit d'une installation pour nettoyer les tubes d'un ensemble (1), tel qu'un échangeur ou condenseur, composé de n sections en parallèle, n étant un entier supérieur à 1, par circulation de boules dans un courant d'eau à l'intérieur de ces tubes, installation comprenant, pour chacune de ces sections, un tronçon de tuyauterie en dérivation (6) équipé d'une pompe d'entraînement (8) et s'étendant entre un dispositif amont (7) de récupération de boules monté sur la sortie (4) de la section considérée et un dispositif aval (10) de réinjection de boules monté à l'entrée (2) de ladite section. Cette installation comprend un dispositif unique (11) d'injection de boules neuves relié aux n tronçons (6) par autant de tuyaux (12) de petit diamètre, ce qui permet de desservir alternativement les n sections à l'aide de ce dispositif et de localiser celui-ci en un lieu éloigné des tubes et facile d'accès. <IMAGE>
