Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0680117A2] The plug connection provides an electrical connection between back panel circuit boards and module circuit boards (7). The plug connection includes a connector strip (8) formed as a rectangular housing open on one side, for plugging into the male contacts of a back panel circuit boards. It also includes a contact strip (1) which plugs into the connector strip. This has chambers with contact springs and is fixedly connected to a module circuit board. The male and female connectors are arranged in parallel rows. The individual contact passages are surrounded by electrically conductive screen plates (2). These are connected to contacts. On the module side, the connector ends (6) of the screen plates (2) and connector ends (6) of the contact springs are bent in the non-installed state to provide a voltage. Both the screen plates perpendicular to the circuit board (7) and the parts of the contact springs perpendicular to the circuit board (7) are curved. Connector eyes (5) are provided on the circuit board (7) opposite the connector ends (6). The plug connector strip (1) is mechanically fastened at several points to the circuit board (7). <IMAGE>
