[origin: EP0680826A2] A rotatable spindle (7) is fitted with one or more leaf springs (8). The spindle has an entrainment edge (10) with which it engages on a V-shaped notch (11) of the leading plate arm (5) of the pressure plate (6). A lever fixed on the spindle is connected for articulated movement to a spring-in swivel lever. Both levers can deflect each side of a stretched position. When fixing the pressure plate the leading plate arm is hung on the edge of a cylinder ditch (2) and then drawn into the ditch. The flexible pressure plate is then wound round the sleeve of the forming cylinder and the trailing plate arm is guided into the cylinder ditch. Finally the trailing plate arm is seized and drawn into the cylinder ditch. <IMAGE>
