Abstract (en)
A thermal transfer type printing, capable of realizing an efficient mirror image formation by a printing head with a small amount of heat generation, without causing a difficulty concerning a software creation, a slow printing speed, or a high cost for a production of new printing patterns. A platen roller conveys an intermediate film for receiving the applied material thermally transferred from a film, with respect to a printing head while the printing head is forming the desired printing pattern on the intermediate film such that the printing head and the intermediate film are relatively moved in one direction in a case of forming a normal image of the desired printing pattern on the intermediate film whereas the printing head and the intermediate film are relatively moved in another direction opposite to that one direction in a case of forming a mirror image of the desired printing pattern on the intermediate film. <IMAGE>
