[origin: EP0680881A1] The tape wrap machine has a rectangular frame (3,4,5) through which the items for wrapping are passed. The frame is at an angle to the item feed direction. The ends of the tape are held in a clamp (7) which is in a fixed position. The tape is fed into the frame, and tensioned by a binding head (8) on a tilt mounting. The binding head moves into the plane of the rectangular frame to feed a fresh tape into an injector slot for the frame. The head tightens the tape ready for clamping by the fixed clamp (7). <IMAGE>
