Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0680895A1] The blister pack has a base section (B) with a tear shaped recess to hold the lens (L) with the edge of the base section raised (16,18) to form a self supporting structure. The oval recess is covered by a foil (D) secured by a seal (2) around the recess. The front of the base section is wider and has a cut-out (15) through which the release tag (4) of the foil can be lifted with finger pressure. The raised side sections also form finger grips to manipulate the pack. For packaging two lenses the blister pack is packed back to back with a similar pack to form a compact double. The elongated section of the tear shape recess forms a ramp up which the lens is dragged by finger pressure. <IMAGE>
