Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0680906A1] The clamp bar (6), for a machine used in the cutting and shaping of sheet materials such as paper and cardboard, has a coupling (10) at each end for fastening it to traction chains by replacing one link (2) in each chain. Each coupling comprises outer (12) and inner (14) vertical plates, joined by an inner connector (18) and equipped with pins (5) for insertion through the chain link plates (3). Each pair of outer and inner plates has a passage (19) to receive a reinforcing peg (8) projecting from the end of the bar. A transverse connecting pin (30) between the bar each end coupling is able to slide in the branches (16) of the coupling hinge and is held in place by a spring (40). Each coupling is symmetrical in relation to a vertical plane passing through the bar, and the inner and outer plates of each coupling are joined by two connectors (18) situated on either side of the reinforcing peg. <IMAGE>
