[origin: EP0680914A1] The dispenser, has the coated tape on a supply reel (2) and fed over the dispensing head to a take-up reel (3). The take-up reel is driven by a friction wheel (12) which couples the two reels with an adjustable friction effect to maintain the tape tension throughout the whole dispensing life of the tape. The friction wheel is coaxial to the take-up reel and its outer rim is in friction contact with a drive wheel (14) rigidly attached to the supply reel. The friction contact with the take-up reel varies with the amt. of tape on the reel. <IMAGE>
