[origin: EP0680922A1] The device has, as bridging component, a transfer roller track pivotable in the free space between a roller track in front of the conveyor shaft and a conveyor basket roller track at the level of the basket. The transfer roller track (8) has at least one driven friction wheel (19), which works with a friction wheel (21) of the conveyor basket roller track (7). The friction wheel of the transfer roller track with its transport rollers and the friction wheel of the conveyor basket roller track is connected with the basket-side transport roller (10) by a chain drive (15, 22, 23). <IMAGE>
