Abstract (en)
The process involves using two rollers (19, 23) which form a selvedge clamp point and where at least one is directly driven. The selvedges are first fed to the circumferential surface of a first directly driven roller (19) to form a wrap angle 150 deg. min., pref. 270 degrees , around it up to the clamp point between this roller and the second, if required directly driven, roller (23). Also claimed is the weaving machine draw-off device (14) for process implementation. Guiding means are supplied to lead a waste selvedge to the first roller (19) such that the said wrap angle, i.e. selvedge contact point and the clamp point with the second roller (23), is achieved. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Verfahren und einer Vorrichtung zum Abziehen von Abfallkanten (11), die beim Weben auf einer Webmaschine gebildet werden, werden zwei dicht angetriebene Abzugswalzen (19, 23) mit Friktionsbelägen vorgesehen, die eine Klemmstelle für die Abfallkante bilden, wobei zusätzlich vorgesehen wird, daß die Abfallkante zunächst der Umfangsfläche einer ersten Abzugswalze (19) zugeführt wird und diese Abzugswalze um einen Umschlingungswinkel von mehr als 150° und vorzugsweise mehr als 180° vor der Klemmstelle mit der zweiten Abzugswalze (23) umschlingt. <IMAGE>
