[origin: EP0681079A1] The window or door frame (1) comprises a metal-reinforced plastic hollow profile (3), which has a rabbet air profile side comprising side rabbet arms (4, 5) with a flat base (6) located between. The frame has a closure plate (10) which has a trough for a bolt and a closure metal plate (12) fitted on the flat base of the frame. Profile grooves are arranged above the flat base and between the side rabbet arms profile grooves (7, 8). The grooves are limited by profile projections (4', 5') on the inside, arranged above the profile grooves and firmly connected with the frame. The closure plate extends between the profile grooves so that it engages with is two outer longitudinal edges (12") in the profile grooves. <IMAGE>
