[origin: WO9515092A1] A cape is used to protect cyclists against the rain. The cape is secured to the bicycle at its lower area in front and/or behind the cyclist by means of front and/or rear intermediate elements. The disclosed rain protection should protect the legs of the cyclist against the rain, even when a light wind is blowing, be easy to handle and safe on the road. For that purpose, the cape is secured to the bicycle well in front and also as far outwards at the back as possible, and as low as required, by means of rectractable or foldable struts (3, 15, 17, 22).
