[origin: EP0681872A2] The attachment uses a mechanical quick-release coupling (16, 18, 20, 22, 26) in combination with a pneumatic clamping device (10, 12, 14) for securing the spray device (2) to the robot arm (6). Pref. the quick-release coupling uses a plug-in coupling with respective halves (22, 26) secured to the spray device and to the end of the robot arm, the pneumatic clamping device providing a pneumatic clamping force when the mechanical quick-release coupling is engaged. <IMAGE>
