[origin: EP0681915A2] The printing plate fitting device uses a pressure roller for applying the flexible printing plate to the outside of the printing cylinder (1). The pressure roller is provided by a washing roller (4) of a washing device (3), which is adjustable to and from the printing cylinder. Pref. the washing device operates in the gap between the printing cylinder and the rubber counter-pressure cylinder (2), with the washing roller selectively brought into contact with the surface of the counter-pressure cylinder, or with the printing plate being fitted to the printing cylinder.
