Abstract (en)
The transport roller has a stationary roller core (1) and a relatively rotatable outer mantle (2) incorporating a number of suction openings (3), around which the paper web is passed. The suction source is coupled to an internal suction guide (6, 7) at the inner circumference of the outer mantle, for providing a wedge-shaped suction surface at the mantle periphery, with its apex facing in the opposite direction of the roller rotation. The suction surface widens out to either side of the apex at the same angle, with a width at its base corresponding to the width of the paper web. The outer dia. of the roller tapers inwards from each outer edge towards the centre. <IMAGE>

Die Zugwalze ist als Saugwalze mit einem drehbaren, Oeffnungen (3) aufweisenden Walzenmantel (2) ausgebildet und wird von der Materialbahn längs eines Umfangsabschnitts umschlungen. Die an eine Unterdruckquelle anschliessbare innere Saugluftführung (6,7,8,9,10,12) mündet am Innenumfang des Walzenmantels (2) und ist so ausgebildet, dass auf dem Mantelumfang eine feststehende Saugfläche von keilförmiger Gestalt entsteht. Die Keilspitze weist entgegengesetzt zur Drehrichtung des Walzenmantels (2) und liegt am Anfang des erwähnten Umfangsabschnitts in der Walzenmitte. Die Saugfläche erweitert sich mit zunehmendem Umschlingungswinkel beiderseits schräg nach aussen und hat am Ende des Umfangsabschnitts eine der Gesamtbreite der Materialbahn entsprechende Breite. Der Außendurchmesser des Walzenmantels (2) weist einem von der Mitte aus zu den beiden Seiten hin größer werdenden Durchmesser auf. <IMAGE>
