[origin: EP0681980A2] An appts. for swinging a traversing rectangular canister on a textile machine supplying sliver comprises a travelling traverse appts. with the canister held between its gripper plates which can swing across the traversing path. Here the swing appts. (15) is located on the canister (5) at a level in its upper region. Also claimed is an alternative swing appts. located on a level with the canister's lower region. PREFERRED - Pref. the means for moving the swing appts. are rollers (13, 14) located nearby on each side of the upper canister region, below a machine table (4) and facing opposite one another w.r.t. a rotating dish (2). They are both connected to the underside of the machine table by an eccentric axle which can be rotated by an adjustment lever connected to the piston rod of a cylinder in turn connected to a control appts. via conduits. <IMAGE>
