The defence valve is pivotable around a horizontal rotary axis (22) arranged in the vicinity of its upper edge and above a stationary overflow threshold (14) and is loaded by a counter wt. (42) which has available the requisite closure and throttle force in respect of the upper flow side built-up water. The valve (20) in its closure position has a central inclination directed downstream and evolving from its under edge and to the extent of an acute angle (W), which is formed by a straight line running between its lower edge and the rotary axis (22) and a vertical evolving from the locating position. <IMAGE>

Oberhalb einer Überlaufschwelle (14) ist eine Wehrklappe (20) um eine nahe ihrem oberen Rand angeordnete waagerechte Drehachse (22) schwenkbar, mit ihrer Unterkante (30) schließend an die Überlaufschwelle (14) anlegbar und durch ein mit unterstromseitigem Abstand von der Drehachse (22) wirksames Gegengewicht (42) belastet, das die gegenüber dem oberstromseitig aufzustauenden Wasser erforderliche Schließ- bzw. Drosselkraft zur Verfügung stellt. Die Wehrklappe (20) besitzt in Schließstellung eine von ihrer Unterkante ausgehende stromab gerichtete, mittlere spitzwinklige Neigung. Das mit der Wehrklappe (20) fest verbundene Gegengewicht (42) ist so angeordnet, daß der senkrechte Abstand seines Schwerpunktes von der Drehachse (22) in jeder Stellung ein Gegenmoment erzeugt, das annähernd dem von der zum Konstanthalten des Stauziels (24) abfließenden Wassermenge verursachten Moment entspricht. <IMAGE>
