Abstract (en)
The awning canvas (11) is fixed at one edge to the winding shaft and at the opposite edge to an extension rod. The winding shaft can be turned to wind the canvas open and closed by an associated drive unit. A pretension device acts on the extension rod to pretension the canvas as it is unwound from the shaft. At least one rib (22) set across the longitudinal extension of the canvas is connected at both ends to the canvas by holding means. When the awning canvas is fully extended the or each rib is set equidistant between winding shaft and extension rib. The ribs can fit tight in loops running over the width of the canvas. <IMAGE>

Eine Markise weist eine Wickelwelle auf, an der einenends ein Markisentuch (11) befestigt ist, das auf die Wickelwelle aufzuwickeln ist. Um beim Aufwickeln Falten auf dem der Wickelwelle befindlichen Tuchballen zu vermeiden, ist die Tuchbahn (11) mit mehreren Streben (22) in Querrichtung gespannt gehalten. Die Streben (22) verlaufen parallel zur Wickelwelle und sind zumindest endseitig mit der Tuchbahn (11) verbunden. <IMAGE>
