[origin: WO9418113A1] A dispenser for liquid drinks has a housing in which is provided a preferably coolable liquid reservoir (60) and an upwardly open conical seating surface (16) for supporting the area (20) next to the neck of a reversed bottle (64) or the like with a downwards pointing neck. A pipe (40) which projects downwards into the housing is linked to the reservoir (60). An upper end section of the pipe provided with an opening (22) dips into the bottle neck and if required actuates a closure element inside the bottle neck in order to establish fluid communication through the pipe between the bottle and the reservoir. The upper end section of the pipe has a valve arrangement (24) with a valve element held by gravity and/or a spring in a closed position in which it closes the opening of the upper end section of the pipe. The valve element may be displaced into an open position by the bottle neck or by a closure element located in the bottle neck.
