Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0683044A2] The damage prevention device uses an energy store which is charged during the operation of the printing machine and which is coupled to a setting device for at least one of the printing cylinders (2,3,4,5) of each printing stage (2,7;3,8;4,9;5,10), upon failure of the printing machine electrical supply, to move it into a neutral position. Pref. the energy store is provided by a capacitor, which is charged from the machine operating voltage via a diode, with a parallel relay for coupling it to the setting device upon failure of the operating voltage.
