Abstract (en)

The emergency running control is brought into operation upon failure of the crankshaft sensor, for simulating the crankshaft sensor signals, using stored values for the total number of segments of the crankshaft sensor source disc and the corresponding crankshaft positions for each of the segment flanks, held in a read-only memory. The number of clock pulses for each segment at the camshaft sensor are obtained by counting a pulse signal with a given frequency, the number of pulses for each actual segment interpolated from the number of counted pulses for the preceding segment, with calculation of the number of pulses for each segment unit, used to provide a simulated crankshaft reference signal. <IMAGE>

Aus den gespeicherten Größen Gesamtzahl Z, Winkellängen LC,LD der auf der Kurbelwellen-Geberscheibe angeordneten Segmente (Zähne, Lücken), aus der Durchlaufzeit der Segmen-te der Nockenwellengeberscheibe und aus den den Flanken dieser Segmente entsprechenden, gespeicherten Kurbelwellen-Positionen werden die Signale (Impulse oder Zahnsignale und Referenzsignale) des Kurbelwellengebers bei dessen Ausfall nachgebildet. <IMAGE>
