Abstract (en)
The connector apparatus ensures connection to a printed circuit board (5) via a coaxial cable. One end of the cable (1) is stripped to reveal the internal and external conductors. A fixed metallic U-shaped piece (2) has a base and a first (21) and a second (22) plate disposed either side of the base forming the arms of the U. This piece (2) is adapted to be fitted into the pcb (5) such that the two places (21,22) lie either side of the pcb (5). A hole (23) is provided in the base of the metal piece (2). The hole (23) receives the bare end of the cable (1). The internal conductor (10) emerges into the inside of the U. The external conductor (11) is in contract with the edge of the hole (23). An opening (25) is cut into the first plate (21) near the place where the internal conductor (10) emerges. Means (4) are provided for fixing the metal piece (2) onto the pcb (5). The opening is covered by a metal cover (3). <IMAGE>
