[origin: EP0683994A1] The multiple ring is made up of a number of rings (1-3) which are joined together when worn, e.g. so that diamonds or other stones set in them are aligned symmetrically. All of the rings are hollow, and one of them, e.g. the central ring (1) of three, has an internal spring-loaded coupling (7), held in place by two screws (12) and engaging with hooks (5) projecting into the central ring from the outer ones through slots (6). The coupling is in the form of a curved insert with its two ends fixed by the screws and with its curved section made with supports for a spring wire (14) to engage with the hook(s). The rings can be dismantled by rotating them through 90 degrees relative to one another.
