Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0683996A2] The door is for a corner cupboard having a carousel supporting several layers of shelving. The shelves have a cut-out front segment to align with the inset corner of the cupboard. A two flange shaped door is supported on upper (25) and lower (24) slides to push inwards into the carousel and thereby free the carousel for rotation. The upper and lower mechanisms are linked by a vertical rod (28) set inside the hollow support shaft (17) of the carousel. The sliding mechanisms are sloped and the sliding action has a rack and pinion coupling with pinions on the inner rod accessed via slots in the outer support shaft. This provides a compact mounting with maximum space on the shelves.
