Abstract (en)
The lamp has two filaments, one forming a dipped beam (101), with a dished mask (103) producing this effect. The second filament is not masked, emitting light all round. The lamp has a glass enclosure and includes a mirror (200). This mirror has a upper zone (210), reflecting a dipped beam from the first filament, even without the dished mask. A second lateral zone (220) of the mirror reflects light from this filament, to the corresponding dished mask edge, producing another beam section. A third lower zone (230) of the mirror reflects the second filament, producing the main beam. The mirror glass is smooth, or lightly curved. The dipping may be defined by a horizontal half section and a another inclined to the horizontal. <IMAGE>
