Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0684443A1] The coupling system, e.g. for propulsive charge containers used in heavy artillery or tank weapons, consists of at least three hooks (11) spaced evenly round the end of one container (3a), the tips of which are shaped to engage with an annular recess (18) round the other container (3b). The hooks and groove engage through matching conical surfaces. The hooks are set in recesses (12) round the first container, and each hook has a projecting lug (16) which can slide in a slot (13) in the outer wall of the first container over the recess. In a variant of the design the hooks can be fitted to a threaded ring engaging with the end of the first container. The hooks are made from a plastic material such as polyoxymethylene, high density polyethylene or polyamide. <IMAGE>
