[origin: DE4418259C1] A multipole in-line connector for use with multicore stranded cable (3) has a main body (6) that receives an insert (5) into which are inserted the individual cores (4) of the cable. The insert locates in a tapered bore (26). The individual contact sleeves (12) are set into a carrier (11) and this is axially locked by tightening a threaded nut (15). Pins (20) are forced into contact with the strands of the core wires.
