[origin: WO9516992A1] The invention pertains to a container for diskettes, compact discs and similar flat, analog or digital data carriers, folded from a flat sheet of cardboard or manufactured from paperboard or plastic and used for protection in mailing such data carriers in standard mailers and envelopes. The container is characterized by its handling slots which allow the data carriers to be easily inserted and removed and by its secure, no-slip hold of the data carrier. Depending on the size of the standard mailer or envelope used, a container can hold one or more data carriers, which form a unit with the mailing envelope but still leave adequate room to enclose written material or printed papers.
