[origin: EP0685600A1] The composite bridge is formed of individual parts having an upwardly facing bearer, pref. built of framework, on both sides. Each bridge section has at least one pair of bearer members, connectable at both ends by couplings in the area of its lower frame with a cross bearer. Between the cross bearers, and resting upon them, extends at least one road plate. Coupling of the bearer members (1) with the cross bearers (3) occurs by inter-engagement and subsequent pivoting of the bearer members and the cross bearers against one another from an assembly position into the usage position. The upper frame (4), where attached to a pressure brace (7), simultaneously form a triangular profile with the cross bearers. <IMAGE>
