Abstract (en)
The structure includes a base consisting of a number of slabs (15). Each slab has a rigid frame of fixed height and is filled with concrete (28). Spaces (34) are arranged in the concrete, allowing bolts to connect adjacent slabs through holes in the frames. The slabs are stacked and held rigid by means of vertical fishplates mounted on some of the exterior slabs and bolted into the holes. Within each frame are a number of feet which are embedded in the concrete. A mast (16) is fixed to base portion (18) which is held by nuts and bolts (20b) and bracing rods or cables are attached to secondary bases (24). The whole structure lies on a resilient bed plate (26). <IMAGE>
