[origin: EP0685695A1] The refrigerator includes one or more shelves (20) for cooled products, and these shelves can be pulled out on guides (15) fitted to the interior side walls (14). The forward movement of the shelves is limited by leaf spring catches (35) fitted to the side edges of the shelves, acting in conjunction with opposing catches (40) in the interior refrigerator wall. The limiting action of the catches can be overridden by means of an operating mechanism (38), so that the shelf may be completely removed from the refrigerator. The front ends of the shelf edges are fitted with sliding components (30) made of a material which slides easily against the shelf guide. <IMAGE>
