Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0685979A2] The diaphragm is mfd. of non-magnetisable metal such as Cu-Be alloy and divided into four radial sectors (eg. 10.1) of a circle which are corrugated to form contact bridges between the ends of the wires (28) of the vibratory coil (24) and the audio signal connection (30). The flanges (11, 12) of the inner and outer boundaries of each sector are faced eg. with Al for ultrasonic welding to the coil former (15) and to the loudspeaker frame (20) respectively, with insulating shims (16, 21). The gaps between sectors allow free passage of air between the two sides of the diaphragm. <IMAGE>
