Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0685984A2] The coil system has a coil carrier (10) wound around its outer mantle with an oscillation coil (12), with retaining elements (13) secured to the coil carrier to fit around the outside of the wound oscillation coil, to prevent radial and/or axial movement of the individual coil wires. Pref. the retaining elements are provided by tongues formed integral with the coil carrier and projecting from its bottom edge, for bending around the outside of the oscillation coil after it is wound on the coil carrier. The retaining elements may be attached to the coil carrier by ultrasonic winding. <IMAGE>
