[origin: EP0686410A2] The fire extinguisher has an extinguisher head (12) with a delivery hose (14) and a container for propellant storage (15). The head includes a propellant guide tube (16) with a nozzle head (17) at its outlet end with a number of small dia. openings. A feed-pipe extends to the lower part (18) of the container for passage of liquid, after the extinguisher is let off, through the extinguisher head into the guide tube so that it enters the extinguishing liquid (19). Additives can be introduced from cartridges, floating on the surface of the extinguishing liquid. <IMAGE>
