Abstract (en)
The printing plate (8) has edges bent into a Z-shape which hook over movable sharp edges (2,3) on either side of a groove in the printing cylinder (1). There is a trapezoid-section bar (21) which can engage the second bends on the ends of the Z-shaped ends of the printing plate. When the printing plate is fitted, cylinders to which the sharp edged (2,3) wedges are attached are rotated to bring these edges away from the centre of the big roller (1) and away from each other. After the first sharp bends in the plate are hooked over the edges, the edges are rotated toward each other to tension the plate. The trapezoid section bar is moved to trap the ends of the plate against the inside surfaces of the wedges. The wedges and small cylinders are shaped to present a smooth cylindrical outer surface when the ends of the printing plate are clamped.

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Befestigen und Spannen von Druckplatten besteht die Aufgabe darin, Druckplatten mit "Z"-förmig abgekanteten Enden zu verwenden und die Druckplatte exakt der Zylinderkontur anzupassen. Erfindungsgemäß wird dies mit schwenkbaren Einhängekanten, deren äußere Flächen die Zylinderkontur aufweisen, in Verbindung mit einer bewegbaren, trapezförmigen Leiste erreicht.
