[origin: EP0686736A1] A bolt (2) is accommodated in a hole (10) drilled in the end face of the slab (11), and secures the mounting (6) against the face (3). A second hole (11), at right angles to and intersecting the first, is drilled in the slab at a distance (a) from the end face, and the anchoring member (5) engaging with the bolt is fixed in it, typically by grouting. The bolt can be tightened down after the grouting operation. The bolt can have a screwed free end protruding from the slab end face. The diameter of the second hole can be at least twice and preferably four to five times that of the first. <IMAGE>
