[origin: EP0686743A2] The security lock (10) is of the cylinder type. It is designed to be firmly located in the door plate (26) or other structure on a door so that it cannot be removed. The locating device (24) consists of a stepped bolt with an enlarged head (24a) projecting beyond a side fin (16) on the cylinder lock. The part of the bolt of reduced dia. (24b) is screwed into the body of the lock. The head of the bolt may have two cutouts which may form flat faces to help turn the bolt in the bore which receives it.
