Abstract (en)
The security device (2) is attachable to an object which is to be protected against theft. This includes an electronic identity circuit (22) linked to an aerial (23) embedded within a housing (24). A second unit of similar size (21) is fastened to the identity circuit by hooked pile fastener (28), and includes a second aerial enabling communication between the two units. The second unit is connected by cable (30) to a central monitoring station (31) which is able to read the identity of the attached unit, and monitors its continued presence. In the event of any attempted theft, the lack of an identified unit adjacent to the aerial (26) activates an alarm. <IMAGE>
