Abstract (en)
The runner is fitted onto the end (20) of each wooden chair leg (2), and comprises a cup-shaped support (1) having a full conical part (13), with a central truncated or hemispherical opening (14) issuing at the top of the conical part. The support has a flat base (11) with a peripheral rim (12) projecting vertically downwards to define a space for receiving a runner (15). The support is fixed to the end of the leg by a screw (30) passing through the opening and forced into the end of the leg. The opening is wider than the screw head or the point (3) so as to create a play between the head and the opening wall (140) and allow an angular displacement of the support relative to the foot axis.
