[origin: EP0687786A1] The sliding door fitting has a locking bar receiver which is provided as part of an extension piece (31) on the second runner shoe (21). The extension piece is a continuation of the runner shoe and is releasably attached to it. The locking bar receiver consists of an insert component which is fitted into a pocket in the second runner shoe or the extension piece. The pocket has openings on both side walls for the through passage of the hook bar of the lock (25). <IMAGE>
