The chair has a spring element (22) which is rotatably positioned on a vertical axle (19), and, when turned, the distribution of force exerted on the seat surface (12) by the spring element can be locally varied. The spring element has a variable radial expansion in relation to the axle. The spring element is partly made of cellular foam polyurethane, and has an extension parallel to the seat and continuously rotatable by roughly 90 deg.. The top of the spring element has a truncated cone shaped protuberance (24) as an extension to the vertical axle and fitting into a matching concave hole (25) in the seat. A locking element (31) fixes the seat in any angle of tilt. <IMAGE>

Der Bürostuhl (10) hat einen Sitzträger (11), einen darauf um eine horizontale Achse (17) verschwenkbaren Sitz (12) und ein elastisches Federelement (22), das zwischen dem Sitz (12) und dem Sitzträger (11) angeordnet ist. Dieses Federelement (22) ist um eine im wesentlichen senkrechte Achse (19) drehbar und so ausgebildet, daß durch ein Drehen des Federelementes (22) die örtliche Verteilung der vom Federelement (22) auf die Sitzfläche (11) ausgeübten Kraft variierbar ist. Diese einfache Mechanik erlaubt es, durch Drehen eines Hebels um etwa 90° die Rückstellkraft einzustellen, um den Stuhl an unterschiedliche Körpergewichte der Besitzer anzupassen. <IMAGE>
