Abstract (en)
An improved pan mill for clay or aggregates in general, comprising, on a supporting structure, a grinding surface (14) in the center of which a substantially vertical shaft (15) is rotatably coupled. Grinding wheels (17-20) furthermore rotate on the grinding surface (14) along a revolving path about the shaft. The improved pan mill is characterized in that it comprises two pairs (17,18; 19,20) of said grinding wheels, each pair being constituted by two mutually identical grinding wheels that are arranged symmetrically with respect to the shaft (15). One (19,20) of the two pairs of grinding wheels is an inner grinding pair, whereas the other pair (17,18) is an outer crushing pair, so as to cover areas of the grinding surface that are substantially annular and partially interfere with each other. <IMAGE>
