The connector (20) has two connecting units (24) which in the assembled state are rotatable relative to each other and/or to the adjoining handrail sections (12) so that any angle can be set between the two assembled rail sections. The connecting units (24) can be designed so that in the assembled state they rotate relative to each other about a first axis. Each connecting unit can have an attachment for the end of the handrail section and each attachment can rotate between connecting unit and rail section. The connecting units and/or attachments can be made from wood and/or metal materials and/or plastics and/or stone. <IMAGE>

Eine Verbindungseinrichtung (20) für einen Treppenhandlauf (10) mit zumindest zwei Handlaufabschnitten (12), wobei jeweils zwischen den Handlaufabschnitten (12) die Verbindungseinrichtung (20) angeordnet ist und, an der Verbindungseinrichtung (20) die Endbereiche der Handlaufabschnitte (12) mit einem vorgebbaren Raumwinkel (22) befestigbar sind, zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß die Verbindungseinrichtung (20) zwei Verbindungseinheiten (24) aufweist, die im Montagezustand untereinander und/oder gegenüber den anschließenden Handlaufabschnitten (12) verdrehbar ausgebildet sind, so daß im Montagezustand ein beliebiger zwischen den anzuschließenden Handlaufabschnitten (12) vorgegebener Raumwinkel (22) einstellbar ist. <IMAGE>
