[origin: EP0688920A1] The connector (20) has two connecting units (24) which in the assembled state are rotatable relative to each other and/or to the adjoining handrail sections (12) so that any angle can be set between the two assembled rail sections. The connecting units (24) can be designed so that in the assembled state they rotate relative to each other about a first axis. Each connecting unit can have an attachment for the end of the handrail section and each attachment can rotate between connecting unit and rail section.
