[origin: EP0688926A2] The key has guide grooves (3,4,5,6) running parallel to each other on both wide faces (1,2). The bottom (3') of the groove (3) having groove walls (3'') running at right angles to the wide side (1) of the key lies on a base plane (8) running inclined to the longitudinal centre plane (7) about the incline axis (9) running in the key insert direction. The bottom (4') of at least one groove (4) of the opposite key wide side (2) also runs in the base plane (8). At least one groove of one wide side projects with at least part of its base over the longitudinal centre plane (7) of the key.
