Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0689008A1] The system consists of an assembly (2) with a control valve (3) in the form of a housing (5) containing a chamber (5a) with a seat and a metal sleeve (9a,9b) containing the valve needle (6) which interacts with the seat. The valve needle is set inside the sleeve so that it can rotate and move axially, and its free end is connected to a return spring (13). The other end of the sleeve is screwed into the body of the valve. The valve is mounted, for example, on a compressed gas canister (15) with an intake unit (20). During operation the flow of gas through the valve is controlled by a trigger (11) which operates in opposition to the valve needle return spring. <IMAGE>
