The toilet comprises an outer body (4) and an upper concave wall (6) with a substantially oval opening (6a) over the bowl (11). Said opening (6a) is substantially parallel to a backward-sloping plane and a washing/rinsing assembly (14) is provided on the seat for automatically washing and rinsing at least the upper wall (6) thereof.
