Abstract (en)
The chain consists of a back frame (1) with two parallel lengthwise members (2) forming the seat, pivoted to the back frame close to its lower edge. Two arm rests (4) are parallel to one another and to the seat members, and are pivoted to the back frame, while a U-shaped frame (3) forms a leg rest. A fabric panel is attached to the back, seat and leg rest by elastic connectors. The chair stands on folding legs (35,36) connected by a pivot (23) and a sliding stay (39). Each arm rest is equipped with a sliding member (5) which lies parallel to the seat members, and the upper end of each front leg (26) has a cap (7) which can be moved along the sliding member and fixed in position by a lock (8). A second sliding cap (10) is fitted to the end of each stay, and both caps are made from plastics, especially acetal. The lock in the sliding cap is in the form of a cam. <IMAGE>
