[origin: EP0690176A1] The lane guide section uses a number of guide kerbs (13) defining the different lanes, each provided by several abutting kerb elements (31), which can be adjusted via an integrated electrically-operated drive (33) and vertical rollers (34,35). A tensioning and locking device (32) is provided at one end of the guide kerb, with a tensioning element which extends longitudinally between two fixing points (4,14), embedded in the road surface at relatively spaced positions across the traffic lanes. <IMAGE>
